Pool Play Schedule

Ken Griffey, Jr. was one of the dominant power hitters of the 1990s and one of the finest defensive center fielders in baseball history. Selected by the Seattle Mariners with the 1st pick in the 1987 Amateur Draft, Junior made his MLB debut in 1989. His father, Ken Sr., was playing for the Cincinnati Reds at the time, and the duo became the first father and son to play in the major leagues at the same time.

Shortly after Juniorís debut, the Reds traded Ken, Sr. to the Mariners, and the two became the first father son teammates in baseball history. Junior won his first Gold Glove and played in his first All Star game in 1990. He would win the Gold Glove for 10 consecutive years, and would win 7 Silver Slugger Awards in the 1990s as well.
